Iets waarmee je zelf verder kunt.<\/p><\/div><\/section><section><div class=\"w reading\"><blockquote class=\"quote\">\u2018Als je DNA zou kunnen vastpakken, hoe zou dat dan voelen?\u2019<\/blockquote><p>Die vraag stelde ik aan een geneticus. Het gesprek ging verder dan het onderzoek alleen: over muziek, geborgenheid en wat zijn werk voor hem betekende.<\/p><p>De vraag gaf ruimte aan een persoonlijke verbinding. Aan wat iemand voelt, wat hem drijft en wat hij zelf wil begrijpen. Daar begint voor mij BuroFluks.<\/p><\/div><\/section><section style=\"background:#DCE3E4\"><div class=\"w two\"><div><span class=\"small\">Een voorstelling opbouwen<\/span><h2>Wat gebeurt er<br>in je hoofd?<\/h2><\/div><div><p>Ik benader wetenschapsjournalistiek als het opbouwen van een idee in iemands hoofd. Een voorstelling waarmee je een verschijnsel kunt begrijpen, er vragen over kunt stellen en ermee kunt denken.<\/p><p>Zo\u2019n voorstelling noem ik een mentaal model. Mijn vertrekpunt is een beeld of ervaring die houvast geeft. Daar kunnen nieuwe inzichten en verbanden op voortbouwen.<\/p><p>De vorm moet inhoudelijk kloppen \u00e9n iets oproepen. Een bezoeker of leerling mag er een eigen gedachte, herinnering of emotie bij hebben.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/section><section><div class=\"w reading\"><span class=\"small\">Betekenis geven<\/span><h2>Wat wil je zelf begrijpen?<\/h2><p>Nieuwsgierigheid laat zich niet voor iedereen op dezelfde manier aanspreken. De \u00e9\u00e9n blijft staan bij een beeld, de ander bij een verhaal of een vraag. Ik zoek naar ingangen die ruimte laten voor die verschillen.<\/p><p>Autonomie is daarin belangrijk: zelf mogen kijken, kiezen en betekenis geven. Een persoonlijke motivatie mag onderdeel zijn van de ontmoeting met wetenschap.<\/p><p>Dat kan in een museum, op een festival of in een informatiecentrum. En ook in een les, waar een leerling zich een voorstelling maakt en ontdekt welke vragen die oproept.<\/p><\/div><\/section><section class=\"divider\"><div class=\"w two\"><div><span class=\"small\">Inhoud en verbeelding<\/span><h2>De vorm volgt<br>de vraag.<\/h2><\/div><div><p>Een voorstelling, een film, een ruimtelijke ervaring of lesmateriaal: de vorm hangt af van het onderwerp, de plek en de mensen die je wilt bereiken.<\/p><p>Mijn achtergrond in natuurkunde en onderwijs gaat daarin samen met kunst en het vertellen van verhalen.
